Terms of use
Last updated: October 30, 2026. These terms cover downinfo.com, its free website checker and live status board, and the early-access list for the monitoring and status-page service. The business behind them is Web Landscapes LLC, a Florida company trading as DownInfo ("we", "us"). Questions: contact@downinfo.com or (786) 372-0287.
1. The free tools
The checker and the board are free and need no account. Using them means you accept these terms. We may change, limit or stop them at any time. Results are what our servers saw at the time shown, from the place shown; they're information, not a guarantee that a site is up or down for anyone else.
2. Acceptable use
- Check websites you're curious about or responsible for. Don't use the checker to hit a site repeatedly, to probe sites that have asked not to be contacted, or as part of any attack or scan.
- There's a limit of about thirty checks a minute per connection, and we may block connections that abuse the tool.
- Don't scrape or resell the results, or present them as your own service, without asking us.
3. Early access to monitoring
Requesting early access is free and doesn't commit you to anything. The monitoring and status-page service is in development. When it's ready for your site, we'll email you the start date, what it does on that date, and the price for your setup. Nothing is charged before you say yes. Once the service runs, you can cancel any month and we'll stop charging from the next one.
4. What the service covers
- Checks and alerts are automatic.
- We don't guarantee uptime, or that an alert arrives within any number of seconds. Texts, emails and calls travel over networks we don't control and can be delayed or lost.
- The service reports what our checks saw. Hosting, repair and security work are separate services, quoted on request.
- Guides and result text are general information about how websites fail, not professional advice for your situation.
5. Your part
- You only ask us to monitor sites you own or are responsible for.
- You keep the contact details for alerts current, and tell us if a phone number or inbox changes hands.
6. Liability
We do this work with reasonable care. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses that follow from a site being down, from a missed, late or wrong alert or check result, or from acting on a guide. For the paid service, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
7. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Before going to court, we both agree to try to resolve it by talking first.
8. Changes
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top. For the paid service, we email account holders 30 days before a change applies.
